Reader comment on item: Profs Who Hate America

Submitted by Lilaine Stern (United States), Apr 24, 2005 at 17:01

Dr. Daniel Pipes, I have personally corresponded via email with Noam Chomsky and find him to be very misguided. He sounds just like a Palestinian Arab who hates Israelis. He seems to hate himself and to feel personally guilty for the suffering of Palestinians caught between their terrorist population and Israel's effort to protect itself against those among them who are determined to get rid of all Israelis and take Israel over. He sounds very naive and ignorant about Middle East history, especially with regards to the invasion of Arabs coming out of the Arabian peninsula and invading not only the Middle East' the Byzantine empire and on to Spain ,etc.and being defeated at Tours, Lepanto etc. He needs to understand that Arabs are the most imperialistic of peoples having used Islam as their excuse to try to conquer the world. You are right to believe that this is what they are trying to do again. I love what you are doing. I am not much of an historian but I sure am teaching myself as much as I can so I can spread this knowledge around. Thanks for your good work. Take care, Liliane Stern
