Cartoons and Lunacy of Perception

Reader comment on item: Those Danish Cartoons and Me

Submitted by Howard R Gray (United States), Feb 22, 2006 at 02:38

One never ceases to be amazed at the ability of some of our fellow humans to depart on trains of thought sans rails of rationality.

Mr Obied Khan has a strange take on your article, I think I understand what he means but not quite why he means it.

As for Mr. Bollyn, he appears to have lost his head, is he by any stretch of the absurd related to the unfortunate wife of Rex H VIII?

Killing over a cartoon is pathetic, proving why no one should take these people seriously save only thier lethality, or their fellow traveller friends on the left.

The arab press is full of revolting antisemitic cartoons, often far more noxious than the recent lethal Danish bacon breakfast specials. Do we go out and seek mayhem and murder? Fat chance! We are at least that civil enough to laugh at cartoons! It is precisely the freedom to laugh at those in authority, secular or religious, that is worth defending. The Spanish Inquisition wasn't funny but the Monty Python sketch about it is.

What next? Porcine adipose tissue on projectiles allegations? Give me a break from these intolerant tossers!
