I am sorry that you don't get what I am saying.
I am not saying Iran is equal to America, or that Saudi Arabia is all roses because I could go to church there, etc... What I am trying to do is to put things into perspective from someone who's actually been to those countries. I do not believe in engaging in rabid propaganda to totally demonize countries that we do not like.

I understand that psychological reasons for doing this in the media in order to encourage our population to support going to war against certain countries that may end up as a war against Islam. I do not support such a war of genocide. That is why I am trying to show a balanced view and do not deny that attrocities and horrible things happen in those countries.

I'm just saying that horrible things happen in almost any country you look at including our own. The Iranian media does the same propaganda about America and how evil and violent America is. None of that solves the problem. It just distorts the issues. This is America, so you can continue to refuse to think seriously about the complexity of the issue and continue to make fun of me in an attempt to de-legitimize what I am saying. Or you can quit acting childish and instead engage in practical solutions to the problem that doesn't involve genocide.

Do you not think that we should UNDERSTAND our enemy before going to war with them??? We DID NOT do that when we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan. Now we pay the price for our ignorance of Islamic extremists. We still don't understand them because nobody wants to make a serious attempt at sponsoring research into understanding in vast detail the spiritiual motivations of these terrorists/insurgents or the complex religious/political system of Islamic states like Iran.

If you think truly that war is the only solution, then America needs to be prepared for a draft (mandatory conscription). Otherwise we currently do NOT have the manpower to invade Iran as we don't even have nearly enough to secure Iraq. It would just end up as a repeat of the mess in Iraq.

Oh, and by the way, I would never be allowed near Mecca as I am not a Muslim. Since you knew that I guess you were ignorant of the fact that non-Muslims are not allowed near the cities of Mecca and Medina. That is another example again of why it is important for you to learn more Islam and its huge variety of beliefs, institutions, leaders, and interpretations of that faith.
