It should surprise no one that Muslims are obsessed with Jewish conspiracy theories. Having embraced the "Protocols of the Elders of Zion," they have promulgated the most absurd and outlandish distortions of reality concerning Jews. From the Holocaust is a myth designed to gain sympathy and support from the West in creating the State of Israel, to all of the blood libels concerning how Jews use the blood of Arab children to make matzoh.

From the very beginning of Islam, Muslims have spun a web of fantasy that paints all Jews as dishonest and corrupted. Let's face it, they had to in order to create the mythology of the Prophet, the ultimate man of peace, justice, and truth: the one that was "betrayed" by Jews whenever he tried to make friends with them, and who, as a last resort, had to show them the error of their ways.

There is no way that a Muslim can ever know the truth about the Great Prophet and still be a Muslim. The solution is simple in a culture where the end justifies the means, where lying (or any other reprehensible behavior) is considered a virtue if it is done in the name of the Prophet. Rape, torture, murder, incest, robbery, libel, slander, and now nuclear war are all sanctioned by the keepers of the Truth.

Never in the history of the world has there been a more schizophrenic religion. On the one hand, you will hear Muslims react with shock to hear anyone claim that Islam is not a religion of peace, and that those who commit every conceivable atrocity are not the true followers of Islam...that they are "corrupting the Koran." On the other hand, you will hear the fundamental Islamists say that they are only following exactly what the Koran tells them to do, that practicing any other version of Islam is tantamount to blasphemy, that they are really the true Believers, that everyone else in the world is an infidel worthy of death, and that they will not rest until the whole world is under Shari'ah Law.

With that kind of reality, who wouldn't want to come up with a sanitized version, and find a convenient scapegoat for all the "lies" that are spread about them, for all their failures, and for all the misery they call.

Enter the Jews (and their Western supporters). The Jews have historically been the scapegoat for the rest of the world, so that role is not new. What is new is that it has become so institutionalized by the Muslim world that it is permanently woven in to the fabric of their society. From birth to death, Muslims are taught to hate and despise Jews and to blame them for any and all their troubles.

To put it simply, Muslims are provoked by their very existence, and anything above and beyond their breathing just adds more fuel to the fire. By extension, Christians are also held in almost as much contempt.

As I see it, we are being asked, no, check that, threatened to be more "sensitive" to their religious beliefs which, in one form or another, either directly or indirectly, have caused more misery in this world than the Black Plague, World War I & II, Spanish Inquisition, and all the tsunamis, earthquakes, and hurricanes combined.

If that is not deserving of a cartoon, then I do not know what else can be!
