German/Japan Models

Reader comment on item: [The Hamas Electoral Victory:] Democracy's Bitter Fruit

Submitted by Paul M. Neville (United States), Jan 28, 2006 at 07:31

I have come to realize that the German/Japan WWII models have not yet worked in the mid east because we did not crush our opponents.

However, to muster the will to crush our opponents requires a unified country which is impossible as long as the Democrats seek to gain political advantage from treason and are allowed to do it. After 9/11 I had hoped that the US would mobilize and declare war on all states that support terrorism. "Unleash the dogs of war" was my first written comment that morning. However, Iran and Palestine having now discarded any pretense of moderation gives us another window for unified action.
