Why should Christians Care ?

Reader comment on item: [The Hamas Electoral Victory:] Democracy's Bitter Fruit

Submitted by Jeff Burke (Canada), Jan 27, 2006 at 14:59

I agree with everything you say especially with turning the Fatah into feta but I am perplexed as to why your Non-Jewish readers should concern themselves with Hamas, Fatah, suicide murders, the Jewish people or Israel when:

Jews themselves rarely make Israel the topic of discussion during social gatherings - many are still living within the dementia of cushy Bush bashing gay marriage supporting liberalism here in Canada, the Uk ( labor supporters ) and the US Democrat Party ( Schumer, Boxer, Feinstein, Feingold and Levin). Sen. Al D'amato was not re-elected despite his attempts to seek miilions from Swiss Banks to Holocaust Survivors and Israel.

In fact, most of my Jewish family have never gone to Israel and agree with the following statement:

" How could a Jew vote Republican ?" despite the fact that:

a) Clinton granted thousands of arms to the Palestinians in 1993
b) Clinton nearly brought Israel to its knees re: Negotiating with Arafat and his murderers despite the fact that Palestinians have no " We the People " declaration Americans are so fond of
c) Roosevelt refused the " St Louis" entry re: 1938 - most of the Jews eventually died in
Concentration Camps, many in Auschwitz
d) Clinton rewarded Jackson's " Hymietown" remark with a posting to an African country
e) Democrats have never appointed a Jew as White House spokesman
f) Democrats' growing anti-semitism re: Cynthia Mckinney's hate filled rants against Jews and Hillary Clinton embracing wife of Arafat
g) Jimmy Carter's comparisions with Israel and South Africa Apartheid
h) Clinton never visited the WTC following bombing in 1993

Not only ABC, CBS, NBC but CNN has also referred to Hamas as a militant group as well. Wolf Blitzer and Paula Zahn don't mind, Aaron Brown did not mind, so why should Christians?
