Rewarding Terror

Reader comment on item: [The Hamas Electoral Victory:] Democracy's Bitter Fruit

"thereby encouraging Palestinians to see the error of their ways" which is something the West and Israel has NOT done. We have given new life to the groups like hamas. We have told them "Terror works" by pressuring Israel to give up land, to the very people that want them dead.

The world leaders are "In shock", that hammas won the elections. Why? The Palistinians saw the "Land for peace" deal, as a win for hammas. The logical conclusion, vote for the group that gets results, and they did.

"History teaches that war begins when governments believe the price of aggression is cheap."

Ronald Reagan

Israel has been hit by 5000 rockets , and the response was giving away Gush Katif and other lands. The price of aggresion againsts Israel is very cheap.
