Adna means low

Reader comment on item: Developments in Syria and Turkey
in response to reader comment: More evidence from Kutub al-Turath that the word Adna means Nearer and not lowest! this time it is al-Qurtubi!

This is silly. I know Arabic. The word 'Adna' has two meanings. One is low and the other is near. Don't believe me. Just Google " أدنى English to Arabic" and Google translate will show you. Oh wait, Google is controlled by Muslims? How about looking at any Arabic to English dictionary or just ask a Christian arab.

Al-Qurtubi was human and not infallible. He could easily be wrong about something.
