"as seen by the banning of burqas in Italy, requiring a German school boy to attend co-ed swimming classes"

...Personally, i find it disgusting that someone would want to uncover a woman who wishes to be covered, or force a boy to swim with girls when he doesnt want.

This is America, its called the land of freedom for a reason, so respect it. People have the right to wear what they want, and follow whatever religion they want to, as long as they do no harm to others.

I am a Muslim, and i completely agree with Samir. Good wisdom. I love humanity, and for those of us who support stripping burkhas of off muslim women, obviously have no respect for other cultures.

i grew up in america since i was 5 yrs old. I went to public school here, and now i'm an 18 year old that goes to college. should i be forced to drink alcohol in college simply because i am a muslim, the way the muslim women in italy is forced to take off her burkha? is that how one "stands up for tradition"? by eradicating other cultures and beliefs?

I am a Muslim, and yet i am an american. I pray as a muslim, and wear clothes like an american. and i will be a muslim as long as i live.

i feel ashamed that fellow americans would support such a transgression against freedom.
