We can go in circles all day citing the Bible vs. Koran. I have read both. I am Christian and believe that Jesus lived a peaceful life. He is what we should all strive to be. He washed the feet of women forced into prostitution. He challenged the Pharasees (Jews) on the Sabbath about obeying their law vs. saving a man's life. The "turn the other cheek" reference you quoted inaccurately taught Christians to allow those to attack us first, and let them slap the other with the back of the hand. In Biblical times and traditions, to slap with the back of your hand was unclean and in fact, punished the aggressor. We can go around and misinterpret the CONTEXT of both texts. But my question is very simple. In Islam, the religion who is growing so rapidly (hardly a dwindling and vulnerable ideology)....Why the levels of violence against so many innocent targets? The Buddhists don't blow up bus stops. The Hindus don't pilot planes into our buildings. Why the violence from Islam?
