Reader comment on item: Identifying Islamists through Interrogations
in response to reader comment: Westernized Muslims

So if they are so keen to escape Sharia law why aren't they protesting more actively against it? It is becoming the new threat t the West since the end of the CW. Secondly how do you know you aren't being hoodwinked by them? I find westerners in general (I'm culturally in between) are curiously naïve and vulnerable to taqquiya, to Asian (Islamic/Chinese etc.) methods of deception.

In Asia deception is common practice, part of survival. Its an art form. Westerners are curiously innocent in the face of this, always wanting to 'see the good in everyone'. This is a huge culture gap between Western and Eastern mentalities. Also watch 'Britz'. There in UK Asian family parents were hardworking immigrants. Brother went to work for SIS, sister became Jihadist/Suicider. Passive Moslems will hardly ever protest or fight against Islamists. A smaller minority will fight against than will fight for. Most are passive 'supporters' who will plead 'innocence' to Westerners, will say what Westerners want to hear. Its all culture and psychology which the West is very bad at dealing with. Hence they know lots about the West. the West knows hardly anything abut them...
