Who appoints the interrogators?

Reader comment on item: Identifying Islamists through Interrogations

Submitted by Gary Kane (United Kingdom), Feb 10, 2016 at 06:02

I'm afraid that time is not on the side of Mr Pipes' proposal to macro-interrogate Muslim immigrants for entry into democratic countries, certainly not in Europe. In Britain and Europe super diverse policies (especially within Mi6 which has recently been named the best UK employer for its attitude regarding the recruitment of homosexuals by Stonewall) mean that an increasing number of newly minted security personnel are hostile to anything considered to be "racist" or "islamophobic".

Mr Pipes' proposal does not have time on its side with over a million Muslim refugees already arrived in Europe in 2015 and hence at least 150,000 jihadists. Mr Pipes underestimates the penetration of multiculturalist attitudes within the police and security services (look at what happened to Lord Bramall). The adoption of Mr Pipes' measured approach would do nothing to halt the rapid Islamisation of Europe and could lead to a situation where those placed in charge of ferreting out Islamist tendencies are actually rubber stamping the admission of more jihadists than now. I'm sorry Daniel but I'm with the Donald on this one.
