Experience from Canada: Muslims I have encountered have no interest in living under Sharia law, nor do they wish to promote it. They come to western nations so they can live under an English common law system or Napoleonic code system. I think the percentage of Muslims who are active Islamists is fairly low (5% would be my guess).
