Islam is at best a fairly primitive language game. If played on its own deceptive terms,it doesn't give a non-Moslem any chance to win.

"If enlightenment means: Total abandonment and distortion of Gods message (as those before have done), then never. If it means returning back to the teachings of the Quran as shown by Muhammed PBUH and his companions, then soon. Muhammed PBUH said: "Islam began strange and will return strange, blessed be the strangers" I don't know what enlightenment you are waiting for. We believe the enlightenment is what Muhammed lived"

Now, ... imagine that Enlightenment has nothing to do with believing. You can believe in any BS you wish, even that Mahomet split the moon (Saudi astronomers are still looking for the traces of the miracle on the moon, aren't they?) and made palm-trees weep. You call it Enlightenment.I call it obscurantism. Moslems speaking of "enlightenment" remind me of crocodiles discussing grass eating. Twisting meanings, using ambiguous words, violating the most basic principles of logic, distorting and abusing well-established notions as well us establishing a priori unequal and cheating rules of the language game they want to successfully play against us ...

When will Islam change? Never!!! When will Moslems have their age of Enlightenment ? Never!!! There is no idea of progress in Islam. All you can do within teh deceptive framework of this language gamne is come back to your 7th century Beduin utopia ! You can't be a Moslem and escape the trap of nasty obscurantism and mental regress Islam has set for you on the linguistic level !

What is more, wherever Moslems prevail the age of Enlightenment comes to an abrupt end. France, the glorious cradle of European Enlightenment , is the most horrifying example of this regressive trend I can think of. Voltaire must be turning in his grave seeing the parasitic and obscurantist Moslem hordes that have overflooded his Fatherland dragging it back into the darkest Middle Ages with anti-humanism and education reduced to parroting a few stupid slogans and unverifiable phrases taken from a 7th compilation authored by an illiterate Bedouin caravan raider !
