Never the twain shall mix

Reader comment on item: Twenty Years of Illusion about Islamism

Submitted by maurice massaad (Canada), Jun 5, 2012 at 23:08

Even the 90 years old secular state of Turkey is flirting with its rebirth as an Islamic state. You can take a country out of Islam , but you can't take Islam out of the people of that country.

Because democracy is the rule of the people by the people, Moslems believe it denies God's rule of the people as ordained by Islamic Sharia. If God has given Moslems the laws by which they govern themselves and live their lives, why should they embrace modern democracy as promoted by Western nations. In their minds, replacing the rule of God by the ruling system of the Infidels is" Kufr ", meaning rejecting Islam . You shall not do like the Infidels, befriend them, live like them, or even think like them. . The Koran prohibits Moslems from following the beliefs and practices of the Infidels. It approves only the rule of Sharia Law and rejects all other man - made laws.Moslem nations will buy the West's X Ray machines, but never their Bill of Rights.

The West believes that people are born free, Islam believes that people are born Moslems.

So, Western Democracy and Sharia Law shall never mix.
