Mr Slayhy, seeking to justify his beleif in his fable to other people writes:

Although Muhammad never visited Jerusalem, he described to his people the location of places in Jerusalem, and told them where every caravan is on its way to Makkah and how long it will take to arrive to Makkah and told them the names of the people in the caravans and their locations"

Of course, not having media to seek information from - he used the only tool available - word of mouth.

i.e. he recounted details from tales he had heard from people who were actually there - traders or others.
