Reader comment on item: Canada's Muslims, Not of One Mind
in response to reader comment: Not difficult to implement

The thing I keep hearing from Muslims is that how we do not understand Islam, or how its the bad Muslims how give Islam a bad name, or how we need to learn more about Islam. What I am saying is that Muslims are the ones who do not understand!! Muslims are the ones who need to have a reality check. they need to understand that Islam has many many flaws, and until they can address those problems, Islam will continue to be morally and ethically flawed!

What Muslims do not understand it that their Religion is defined by what its followers do.

The problem isnt that we non Muslims do not understand, the problem is with Islam and Muslims not understanding they set the moral and ethical bar below the standards we want!

We do not want Sharia law, the level of morality and justice that Sharia sets is way too low for any civilized country to accept.

I do not want to live in a country where women have a lower status than men, I do not want to live in a country that allows slavery, I do not want to live in a country that allows child sexual abuse, female genital mutilation. I do not want to live in a country that allows corporal or capital punishment.

All these things are allowed under sharia law, we are not a medieval country, neither is Canada. Sharia law represents too much evil and injustice to ever allow it to be implemented in a modern society.
