Sympathy with the underdog

Reader comment on item: "Free Gaza" Flotilla Defeats the Israel Defense Forces

Its sympathy with the underdog what is seen here, thats it. If the roles were reversed and the palestinians had power over the Israelis, all sympathy would be with them instead. In Vietnam, when the brave Vietcong was the underdog, there was a lot of sympathy for him in America too, admittably exploited and potentiated by Russian Agents. If Americans picked a foreign nation at war with them, over their own, because it was percieved as the underdog, what hope does Israel stand, to fight this trend? Practically none, but it does not matter, Israel is far away so is palestina, people express the way they feel, it does not mean they want to get involved.
