Reader comment on item: "Free Gaza" Flotilla Defeats the Israel Defense Forces

Submitted by Alan Nitikman (United States), Jun 1, 2010 at 01:12

To try to live by the impossible rules of the jihadists is to lose. What alternative do you suggest, Dr. Pipes? Let the boat land? The lives lost were the human shield the jihadists carefully planned on when they boarded a "humanitarian aid" ship. The "humanitarian" part of this was merely a ploy, a thin veneer on top of an existential threat. The embargo is necessary to prevent weapons from flowing freely into Israel. The Israelis warned this flotilla that they could not enter without inspection. Better they had shot every single person on that ship who so much as raised a slingshot or pole against the Israelis. If you have a way to have towed the ship involuntarily to the port, that might be an option, but it had it's powerful propellers aimed in another direction.

The only reason this looks like a bungle is because the anti-Israeli Obama Administration and the long-anti-Israeli Europeans have chosen to buy the garbage being peddled by the Islamist media.
