Reader comment on item: "Free Gaza" Flotilla Defeats the Israel Defense Forces

It's better described as a major and abysmal failure by Netanyahu and IDF considering Israel had weeks if not months to prepare for what turned out to be a mess. Yes, and thanks (!?) for making Erdogan, the Islamist PM of Turkey, look like the hero of the Islamist world. Some backward minded morons in Turkey already regard him as the "last Sultan of the Ottoman Empire." It gave him a chance to pound his chest against Israel for the 4 Turks killed (out of 9 deaths) on the same day that the PKK, the Kurdish terrorist organization in Turkey/Iraq, ambushed and killed 6 soldiers and wounded 7. One would have preferred to see Erdogan pound his chest against PKK. Not a single mention ... certainly not by the thousands of Islamists who demonstrated in Turkey against Israel.

One correction: the real trap was by AKP; shrewdly encouraged the Islamic aid group IHH and used the Turkish flag and citizens to drag Turkey into the middle of this.
