Reader comment on item: A Democratic Islam?
in response to reader comment: transformation of religion to second (private) fiddle.

The very founder of the Christian faith advocated , what allowed democracy to eventially emerge,.seperation of church and state("Render onto Ceasar what is ceasar's.Render unto God what is God's").

The founder of Islam allowed for no such duality. In Islam there is no sphere of human life that is not governed by islam.
