While the majority of Christianitys' teachings may come from the NT, there are teachings Christian leaders take from the OT as well. Teachings concerning a person's personal morals, etc. I do agree that taking past religious leaders mistakes are an exuse. And condemn many muslims for using Past Islamic leaders mistakes as permission to commit acts of terrorism. It is up to Imams' such as myself , and others to correct these individuals interpetation of the Qur'an, and Hadith. Just as christian leaders reach out to everyday christians and try to help them in thier understanding of the Bible.
