But look at history of Basques & Irish brutal terror struggle, their clan structure, positive highlander attitude to take anything from not members of the clan/lowlanders. Chechens have the same history and attitudes and live in mountains (by contrast being muslim). People living in tough environments like desert or mountains treat life as a zero sum game, as a result tribal attitude of not cooperating with outsiders
but fighting for limited resources.
