Well-documented, valuable

Reader comment on item: The Alawi Capture of Power in Syria

Submitted by Gerald D. Sack (Italy), Jan 14, 2003 at 01:20

A well-documented summary of a neglected fireld of research. My own inquiries several years ago in the Alawi village of Rajar on the Israeli-Lebanese border revealed the general lack of knowledge and/or concealment of the religious tenets mentioned in the article. It was, therefore, an interesting and valuable read.
