Alawi beliefs date to 5000 years earlier. Their philosphy is the source of all religions. This belief evolved over centuries and they are one of the sects of Islam now. They kept the essence; the love and humanity and they always resisted the backward lifestyle of Badawis. This is what is confusing the Sunnis. Unlike Sunnis, Alawis respect other beliefs. Alawis believe they do not have to be in mosque to remember Allah, for zikr or for a prayer. That they believe in being clean inside; one has to have a clean heart for the prayer to be accepted.

All the Alawis I know are great respectful good hearted muslims, despite all the systemic attacks against them and massacres carried by ignorant Sunni terrorists. Alawis believe in humanity and their women are the most respected amongst muslims.
