Reader comment on item: The Alawi Capture of Power in Syria
in response to reader comment: wake up!

Haha I would like to comment on the above message that was posted by B... called wake up. Although I think it was bluntly said, I agree with what I read 100%.

I am a female Syrian Canadian, Sunni Muslim born and raised in Canada. I love my home country Syria and respect my religion very much although I don't pray or wear a vial. 4 years ago I decided to move back to Syria with my family, and I have been here ever since. The one thing I love about this country is that all religions are friends. Never saw any racism or any prejudice behaviour what so ever.

Anyway to make the story short.... I have found myself enjoying the company of Alawia friends the most. They are the most honest, understanding and loyal people i have ever met. The ones living in Damascus are also very open-minded, friendly and outgoing. I have noticed that they are spiritual and very close to their families as well. Just amazing people what more can say... so amazing that I decided to research about their religion.

Hope that makes up for the above ;)
