I wholehearted agree with your recommendation of reading Sir V. S. Naipauls two books, "Among the Believers" and "Beyond Belief", to understand the neurosis of Muslims worldwide. In fact, I have myself suggested reading of these two books in my postings on this website during last few years. It is amazing how accurate Naipaul is in describing Muslim psyche and behavior.

As a rule, the converts to Islam are completely required to shed and forget their own past cultures, history, civilization, any humanitarian instincts, and adopt the alien Arab religion and culture as the Iranians, Indonesians, Malaysians, Pakistanis, etc., have done. May be these books should be required reading for the PC crowd, our government officials and anybody who are not tired of describing Islam as a religion of peace.
