You have no idea what you are talking about

First of all, neither Sharon nor Olmert has ever publicly discussed or explained the reasoning, if there was any, behind the Gaza and Northern Shomron retreat. There has been no public discussion either before or after the surrender, so for you to hypothesize as to what motivated Sharon or Olmert is ridiculous, you simply have no idea what you are talking about. Indeed, to this day, the only rationale that Ehud Olmert has given for his planned unilateral withdrawal is his famous speech in which he claimed that Israel is tired of winning, tired of being courageous, etc. That is how a defeated leader speaks, that is surrender, that is retreat, that is what nations and armies say and do when they lose, not when they win.
