To Rick: You said that the UN is mostly dominated by Muslim and nations. That is not true. Please get your facts straight before you shoot your mouth off. In fact, it is the Western nations that continue to dominate the UN and exercise undue influence in its policy-making.
To Daniel the Prophet: Your comments exemplify exactly the kind of religious fanaticism that you criticize the Muslims for. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to argue with fanaticism such as yours, so I guess we should just be happy that people like you don't call the shots just yet. What would become of the world if that happened?
To AV: I suppose that rather than the UN, which is just so inefficient at "human rights", and "nation building" as you say, we should just put the US in charge. The US, which has shown its "human rights" with its support of dictators such as the Shah in Iran, Ferdinand Marcos in the Philippines, Augusto Pinochet in Chile, the Somoza family in Nicaragua, etc. And let's not forget how they oversaw the brutal Contras in Nicaragua, the Brazilian and Guatemalan government death squads, the UNITA in Angola, the Cuban exiles based in Florida and their terroristic actions against Castro's government, and, last but not least, the mujahedin in Afghanistan.
To Sully: I guess these so-called "moderates" would only be moderate to someone like you. Their suggestions sound quite radical to the rest of us. Bomb Mecca at the height of the Haj? Just goes to show how immoral you and your friends are. Maybe the rest of the world should consider bombing Washington D.C. on July 4 in retaliation for all the US crimes mentioned above
