Clarifies why there is nothing wrong with calling for Israel's destructionReader comment on item: [Kofi Annan and] Eliminating Israel Politely Submitted by Michael E Piston (United States), Dec 19, 2005 at 15:35 Thank you Mr. Pipes for clarifying why, far from implying genocide of the Jewish settlers, a call for the "destruction of Israel" simply asks for the replacement of a Palestine segregated by religion into a unified, secular and democratic state with equal rights for all, and with citizenship detemined by place of birth rather than ethnicity or religion. In short, its a call for the Americanization of Palestine. It may not be practical, but it certainly isn't deplorable. Pipes shows rare courage and common sense by pointing that out.
