UN-Iranian Nukes-Israel and America

Reader comment on item: [Kofi Annan and] Eliminating Israel Politely

Submitted by John Randall Peacher (United States), Dec 14, 2005 at 14:40

Why do Israel and America wait to destroy the Iranian nuclear threat? The arguments and discussions of what to do have been in process for several years. America and Israel possess bunker buster bombs, rapid deployment forces, special forces and demolition experts. Given the context of recent history, how many lives would have been saved had Western nations taken early action against Aldolf Hitler, a man who rose to power preaching his intentions and then following them through, to the dismay of 6 million European Jews and other groups of citizens of this planet. Iran has made her intentions known for more years than Aldolf Hitler, yet we still discuss, write, talk, and form committee's in our Legislatures to examine our options.

There is evil in this world. Iran is evil. It supports terrorism worldwide, has explained in detail why Israel should not exist, and has infiltrated terrorists to other nations in a brazen attempt to bring their statements to fruition. The statement after the Holocaust used to be "Never Again". Now we just sit, talk, and wring our hands as if we are powerless. What needs to be done could be accomplished in one or two days.

Iranian's need to be free from the control of their dictators as Russia, Germany, Japan, East Germany, and dozens of other nations were during the 20th Century. The longer we wait the more bloodshed. Why do we think our circumstances or options are different from our fore fathers faced when they refused to act with determination against tyranny? Why would inaction lead to different more favorable results?

As Winston Churchill once said, if you feed the crocodile, you will become his last meal.
