Kofi Anan has done next to nothing for the atrocities that are still going on in the Southeast Asian country of Burma (aka Myanmar). There are more child soldiers in Burma than in Africa or any other country in the world and yet the UN Security Council, etc. has failed to make a difference. Is Burma not equally deserving of international action to stop its terrorist military regime from desecrating its people and land any further?
The Burmese people are being tortured, displaced, raped, killed and forced to relocate to neighboring countries where they are denied even refugee status! We're not talking a few hundreds here, we're talkin tens and thousands of Burmese people! The AIDS epidemic in and around Burma is getting worse and worse. In addition, Burma is the top leading drug producer in the world!
How much longer do the Burmese people have to suffer? This nightmare has been going on in Burma for over 40 years! It seems as though the world has forgotten Burma. Organizations and people who can make a difference are taking TOO LONG to help the Burmese people! There really is no time for lengthy discussions. We need to act for the Burmese peoplen NOW!
Please do not send me emails regarding this as I will not be in the country for long. But Please, Please act on your own volition and help the Burmese people. Help make a difference so that the terrorist military regime in control of Burma now is abolished/put to death. We can make a difference if we work together. I am headed to the border soon!
