29th of November, 1947 is the date when the UN endorsed a sovereign Jewish State in the Land of Israel.

This is the date Kofi Annan chooses to renege, politely, on the UN pledge.

Let us not be picky. The Partition was a flop, as is the UN, ruled by the automatic majority of Islamic and Envious nations who cannot stand up to Isalmic pressure. All partitions of the land of Israel are unsustainable flops, causing endless, needless bloodshed.
Hazony was both right and wrong. As Defensive Ramparts operation proved, when push comes to shove, no one shoves as well as Jewish Israel. Not even the USA, now mired in Iraq and looking for a polite way out. Sometime in the future America will come to realize that the Partition was a bad, sad mistake, and will help rectify this mistake in the only sustainable way. Arabs to Arabia. Israelites to Israel.

But not yet. for the time being Condy finds it seasier and more congenial to scream at Mofaz, then to stare down Nuclear Iran. US diplomacy, it seems, is the art of cowing friends, rather than subduing mortal enemies.
