Reader comment on item: British Opinion Surveys from an Islamist Hell

Submitted by Vijay Dandapani (United States), Jul 25, 2005 at 16:03

How does the British government go about changing the minds of the nearly 30% who essentially seem ready to abet terrorism?

Expelling them as some have suggested is not an answer as apart from being difficult to identify would only go towards more discord among those not currently similarly inclined. One answer lies in looking outside Britain in the two principal areas that spawn terrorism outside Israel - Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Over 70% of British Muslims are of Pakistani extraction with many of their mosques "importing" Imams from that country. Those ideologues get their financial backing from Saudi sources.
