A Spoonful Of Sugar Makes The Strychnine Go Down

Reader comment on item: British Opinion Surveys from an Islamist Hell

Of those who saw the Tsunami approaching, what percentage of those who saw it coming tried to pacify the general public with praise of the ocean's positive attributes? And, how many of the rest would have awaited that statistic, and use it to decide whether to leave or stay?

Of course, in the present case, the statistics on Islamic fundamentalism are one of our best measures of the strength of that 'approaching wave,' and what they show is that the danger is all too real, and very great. But these statistics have been around for some time. Just how many more polls do we have to take before we act?

Unfortunately we can't act effectively without effective leadership. So, given the vacuum of leadership worldwide that we are faced with in this rapidly approaching crisis, how long will it be before the sheep at the head of the line, (those who are spoon-feeding us the sugary poison of 'peace in our day' ), are replaced with lions?

And, for that matter, just exactly where ARE those lions?
