Is Dr Pipes ready to change his position?Reader comment on item: British Opinion Surveys from an Islamist Hell Submitted by Jerry Reich (United States), Mar 12, 2009 at 07:51 Having subscribed to this newsletter for some time , I believe Dr Pipes position is that "moderate muslims should police the radical factions". In as much as these so called "moderate" elements can not be depended on for this function in any practical fashion , manor or way, what do believe PLAN B should be? How must the people be protected? How have these polls changed your personal opinion in dealing with the problem of "radical islam"? Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: That is not my position. I believe non-Muslims must defeat the Islamists and hope that moderate Muslim can then construct a positive and benign version of their faith. Comment on this item
