Reader comment on item: Niqabs and Burqas as Security Threats

Submitted by Prashant (United States), Dec 15, 2013 at 21:29

Dear Dr Pipes,

When Burqas were originally prescribed for women, there were no ATMs. This time news is from Mumbai. Some smartalecs, muslim or otherwise, women or otherwise used the privacy of the burqas to break open an ATM vault and steal about 1.6 Million Rupees. Their being a Security threat should be the last reason to oppose burqas but it is not a bad reason.
