Reader comment on item: Niqabs and Burqas as Security Threats
in response to reader comment: Why only Nikab?

Submitted by Ibrahim Lone (India), Dec 9, 2008 at 00:37

Banning the Nikab and Burqa? ... How do you people think this is going to help in the war on terror. I agree that the nikab is the worst thing that could happen to a woman, yet in no way does banning it prevent terrrist from attacks. This is something really stupid. Perhaps more attention should be paid towards educating Muslims and showing them the fallacies of Islam. Rather than send innocent young boys to be killed by the stupid Jihadis.

Today Taliban is controlling every territory outside of Kabul, they have their own radio stations which are their propaganda machines. Unfortunately America with all its intelligenece and millitary might cannot grasp some basic facts. No matter how many people America kills in the name of fighting terrorism, these people will keep on sprouting again and again, It is important to kill the ideology and not its followers. I find it amusing that Washington is willing to spend billions of dollars on maintaining troops in Afghanistan and all over the world, but they wont spare a few hundred thousand dollars to invest in radio stations and TV programs which spread the real cause of the disease.
