Reader comment on item: Why Would Anyone Want to Blow Up Times Square?

Submitted by rodney allsworth (Australia), May 5, 2010 at 17:46

it is unbelievable that anyone could call this somehow an excusablle act, even if he were only distressed over the loss of his home, he was about to terrorize the general public in a public place and place lives in lethal danger, irrespective of his colour, race, religion, beliefs, culture, domestic problems, etc, etc.politicians and any elected authority must assume the worst and then start discounting issues as they are cleared away, thats for the public benifit, what would have happened if this bloke was working with another agent of terror and as the piblic was-medicated-appeased-whatever-in essence told the danger was no more in danger and the relaxed public started to get comfy then another explosion occoured and many were killed, the idea of protecting a religious or cultural grouping is abhorrent politicial correctness.and for robert dreyfuss to make a claim that it was possibly done by someone of the tea party or anti-govterment far right is totally a politicial move for his own agenda -whatever that is-here in aust we have had some luck where ministers have been pulled into line over some stupid excuses used to protect immigrant issues and foreign trading partners, an indian who tried to do a con job on car insurance we were told was a racist attack and that aussies are racist, bull-crap,

the public must demand protection over and above special groups and politicial agendas, in particular a lot of U,N, charter effects on national laws, the electorate elects politicians to administer the laws as the nations electorate would have them, as it is the electorate gets to elect politicians and then they seem to just make laws according to outside influences, thus abrogating the citizens national soverigienty, terror is terrorism, end of issue.
