War on terrorists

Reader comment on item: Why Would Anyone Want to Blow Up Times Square?

Submitted by Kiel Hesselmann (Denmark), May 8, 2010 at 16:30

You don't nessesarily have to unlearn things about terrorists. But all of us should bear in mind that we are threatened by fanatics who hold totalitarian ideas. We, in the West, have to see our enemy as he is. Once again the civilized world is at war. Adopt a war terminology that fits the current situation! - Of course it's difficult to acknowledge an army without the traditional gear. Today they appear as everybody else - with a casual apperance. But don't let you fool. - And Dr. Pipes, I'm an admirer of your analyses. Thank you.
