Since 9/11, I have read everything I could get my hands on relative to Islam and its 1400 year history, plus studied the history of Christianity. I'm a retired accountant and history fascinates me. I was not motivated by high school and college history courses but now I can't learn enough.

Winston Churchill said something like the more you know about the past, the further you can look into the future.

Didn't mean to sound like I was talking down to you, but so many people (Americans) are ignorant of what has transpired throughout history, especially European, Mid East and Asian history.
