But wait! We've seen the boldness!!Reader comment on item: A Call for American Boldness in Iran Submitted by Jeff (United States), Jun 25, 2009 at 15:01 Today, in an announcement that pierced the heart of every imam in Iran, the US State Department said that Iranian diplomats were no longer welcome at July 4th parties at US embassies around the world. They'll just have to take their reknowned social graces elsewhere. That will teach them a lesson they won't soon forget. Look for dramatic changes coming up soon in Iranian government behavior (Oh, we changed our minds, we don't really want nuclear weapons, oh, well, maybe gay folks should be allowed to live, OK no more stoning little girls to death, and we'll put Zahra Kazima's murderers on trial, just for starters) with any eye toward winning back that all-important social invitation for July 4th, 2010. And some of you doubted Joe Biden about that "spine of steel"? Shame, shame. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
