Reader comment on item: A Call for American Boldness in Iran

Submitted by Ynnatchkah (United States), Jun 24, 2009 at 22:58

When reading several times the article, I liked a lot the way Dr. Pipes so enthusiastically narrated his experience and the situation itself. It was of his articles where I felt best his outstanding expertise, packed at this time with passion and energy. Must have been "must" moments in Paris. Thank You Dr. Pipes for sharing it, in such a "sparkling way".

Indeed the movement brings a lot of hope.

One thing is not clear to me. There is a cluster in ideology and aim in between the peaceful counterparts of MeK in Iran and the Mek abroad, but the leaders differ in their vision completely. If Mousavi "...announces that he does not seek confrontation with the "brothers" in Iran's security forces nor does he wish to challenge the "sacred system" instituted by Ayatollah Khomeini. "... and Maryam Rajavi heroically upholds our western values of freedom, if Ahmadinejad leaves, looks like that a new clash will be originated, now in between Rajavi and Mousavi- especially, taking in consideration Mousavi's former speeches.

Yet, for the time being looks enough, but only for the time being, until Ahmadinejad is obliged to leave
