The fact that protesters from both sides use the word "death" extensively (rather then, say, "freedom/peace/change") does suggest something about the state of mind of the people - both "moderates" and extremists.

I'm not impressed at all by this image pumped up by the media of a young Iranian guy secretly listening to the Beatles and drinking booze in private parties, if the same guy goes minutes after chanting "death" to somebody.
