Behind the Shadow of Terrorism

Reader comment on item: The Limits of Terrorism

The question posed in the previous post about 'limiting terrorism' was more rhetorical in tone for reasons that many have already postulated, that an answer to the question of how to quench the fire of terrorist activities is not an easy one because of its many sources in antipathies.

Terrorist activities are not the sole domain of Islam, even as we see the Middle East embroiled in so much hatred amongst Muslim kindred. We are only a generation away from the world war that saw so much terror in the name of socialism, or its successor menace in the form of misused communism, and so many perished in that use of force against mankind to embrace such maligned prerogatives.

That Islam is so readily identified with terrorist activities today is essentially part of the signs of the times, being the new face of the current attempt to dominate the world. But it is wrong to say they are solely to blame. Were we to say that followers of the Quran are alone in their desire to bring sharia law into global prominence, using their verses like the ones in the previous post as the dictate to accomplish that goal, would be to miss the truth behind the scenes.

A much better application of ancient writings would come from the Hebrew Holy Scriptures to bring one closer to the truth of what is about to happen to a humanity that has lost its sense of history past and its future shortly to explode on the scene. We read in the Prophet Isaiah ( a prophet to be reckoned as having greater truth than so many that came after the written WORD of the LORD) Chapter 49, commencing at verse 22:

22) Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I will lift up my hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people: and they shall bring thy sons in [their] arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon [their] shoulders. 23) And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers: they shall bow to thee with [their] face towards the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I [am] the LORD: for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me. 24) Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?

25) But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. 26) And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the LORD [am] thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

The Holy One of Israel spoke of the times were are in now, in the Gospel of Matthew (as well as in other references) and the tumultuous happenings we are experiencing. And who besides the Spirit of the Holy Almighty God could have predicted the reformation of the Israeli nation, in spite of ever effort to destroy the people and drive them from the land. It would seem that the author of that Truth would be better listened to than listening to the faithless speech making of anyone who would defy such Truth.

Terror is here because a faithless humanity will tolerate such activities (and blaming the Jewish people for being in their own land as the cause for it all) instead of seeking the power that holds the universe by the WORD found in the Holy Bible. The time is here where it is no longer a matter of whether or not we can ignore the love of an Almighty God who is ready to send justice against terrorism and the unbelief in Jesus Christ. The time is here when all such things will be brought under His control through His protection of the Israeli nation, and only in believing in Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior will there be escape for any who have believed His WORD is Truth, and none else.
