Hindus resisted and survived

Dear Javed,

If you think that India has remained predominantly a Hindu country because Islam was non-violent, you are mistaken. Read Muslim chroniclers who have glorified the violence committed by Muslim sultans. I may suggest reading of "History of India as Told by Its Own Historians" by Elliot and Dawson, published by none other than Aligarh Muslim University? If India has remained a predominantly Hindu nation, it is because the Hindus resisted till the middle of eighteenth century, when the Mughal empire fell. It is not at all because Islam is benevolent. Islam's and Allah's benevolence is limited to the Believers and does not extend to Kafirs.
