Amicus Curiae

It is with no small interest that we read this post as a continuing discussion running into a conundrum, since it reflects similar exchanges amongst many of coincident ideologies and philosophies found here on Dr. Pipe's site, yet with no seeming concession to either side. Some may dismiss such with the wave of a hand (or more commonly with feigned laughter), since there is so much emotion tied to the roots of the dilemma, that of a humanist mentality seeking a religious form to cover truthless rationales. Only the Truth as contained in the Holy Bible is there a way to resolve the eternal conflict.

At the very base of all that is seen in today's search for a goal of a peaceful existence is the real reason mankind cannot catch happiness in perpetuity, since such a thing does not exist in this temporal realm. It was never meant to be so, because it would require perfection in an existence that is not perfect. In mankind's nature is found the reason this is true; we are a sinful lot that needs true redemption before each of us draws our last breath.

History has been told a number of different ways, but only in the Holy Bible has the story been told with any veracity. Contemporary hostilities confirm what the Holy Bible has been written to say, that mankind is incapable of resolving even the most trivial contention. Add to it the religious bias of a corrupted version of any man's philosophies and we have the seeds for the wars having been fought for centuries over the very same arguments started thousands of years ago, out of unbelief in the Holy Almighty God of the Holy Bible.

These are the battles being fought today around the world and in these pages. The only real outcome that does not perpetuate the ceaseless debating is conceding that the WORD of the LORD has been the truth all along, and that Jesus Christ has been that Truth since before the beginning. Everything else that tries to alter, challenge, dismiss, or divert that truth falls into the trap laid for judgment by that Truth. Hence we see that, in the context of this forum, the writing of the Quran, a compilation of the philosophies prevalent at the time it was written, took for its premise many aspects of the Jewish scripture( with defamation of who Jesus Christ was), along with the amended religious perceptions (much of it corrupted) of Christianity available then. We see these premises perpetuated in today's modern arguments against true Christianity.

There is no winning an argument in that type of venue. If conversion to the truth of Jesus Christ is to occur, it requires a penitent heart open to hear the Gospel for the explanation of salvation, and then by prayer acceptance in the Name of Jesus of that truth in the presence of the Holy Spirit to have the name of the individual written in the Book of Life. It cannot happen any other way, and in that way, we understand the completion of the love of Almighty God in the person who has consented to trust and believe in the LORD Jesus Christ (the only One we can trust), our friend and Savior.
