well, i'm not an expert

Reader comment on item: Strange Sex Stories from the Muslim World
in response to reader comment: Really, just how ancient is this no-face-viewing tradition?

i think this coverning of head to toe without even their children or husbands seeing them comes from the sufi or mystical aspect of the wahhabi's...the reason is a woman is a sacred being and if one looks upon her it takes away her mystical powers...of course the other side is a prison by veil

i find that a little out of the sanity of life...respect for a women starts with a basic accepting a woman who is at home is worthy and should be educated so as to bring up educated children...it appears this covering up and not even her children seeing her is a form of a prisim...her mystical powers can not be taken from her being seen as long as she understands how to use that mystic power for the good and nto let the evil powers degrade or even if a test of the two does happen if she has the support of her family and god she shall prevail in the trial and tribulation...if all she has is the support of God she shall prevail even if these men doen't want to reconginize it...for it is God's domian not man's....

i hope that left a lot of question to be clarified...;)
