I understand that millions believe in the mysteries of religion Fay and thank you for your feedback.
I've never considered myself as a saviour of anyone. I prefer to believe that none of us needs saving although we certainly could do some work on our international, ethnic, race relations etc.
I'm also not as closed minded as you think. I'd love to believe that there was a mysterious power who would answer all my prayers and look after me. Quite clearly that isn't the case.
There is absolutely no evidence that god exists ... certainly not in the way in which he is depicted in the bible and other current religious texts.
If you look at the history of humanity, religion has been (and still is) a significant cause of human misery. Even Hitler, responsible for killing 6 million jews was a Roman Catholic for most of his life.
The point I make is that if we either all had one religion or didn't follow religion, simply cared for each other as human beings, we'd all be better off. A humanist world that doesn't believe in myths would be best.
