Beware of 'out of proportion reactions, borne of sheer imagined insecurities'.Reader comment on item: No Islamic Law in Minnesota, for Now Submitted by Ghulam Muhammed, Mumbai (India), Oct 29, 2006 at 00:01 Mr. Frummer, how you deal with a Burqa and a kefaya, is your personal choice, but your generalisation that all of the Muslims treat Jews as enemies is not correct. Muslims as well as a huge percentage of non-Muslims are rightfully against Israeli atrocities inflicted on Palestinians. But at personal levels, Muslims and Jews are interacting without open hostilities and hatred, except some extreme cases on both sides. There are people who prefer to solve problems by aggression and there are other people who prefer to hold dialog and reason out to find solutions for problems not created by common people. The fact that Jews are a small minority (13 million) in the world compared to the Muslims ( 1.2 billion) , weighs heavily with the Jews and their reactions are more sharp and intense borne out of insecurities of the past, present and future... It is for Muslims to come forward and inspire confidence in the Jewish communities about their natural urge to live in peace with their neighbours and fellow citizens.
